Nothing takes the place of a live conversation with your veterinarian or their staff, so do not hesitate to contact them. Now. No website, video, podcast, article, comment section, nor (Gods help us) message board can ever properly help your animal like your vet can; certainly not me nor this website.
I have almost 30 years of experience being a veterinarian and owning a veterinary hospital, I have rescued and placed over 1,200 kittens as of January 2023. I am a tiger and lion vet of over 20 years…
What I do not and can not have online is a proper Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR). I can only give general advice, and no one online should give specific medical advice without a VCPR, which starts with critical things like:
- A veterinary license for your State or Country.
I can only give general information. - Immediate access to your animal’s medical record: history, exams, medical issues, tests, photos, X-rays. Do not attempt to send it.
- Your actual identity and address. Do not attempt to send it.
- Access to your animal for a live exam. Photos and cameras are not generally accepted in most States as adequate for veterinary medical purposes.
